What shipped recently across adoovi — richer marketplace pages, team and ownership controls, monthly invoicing and pay-ahead, and dozens of small fixes.

Platform update: a better storefront, honest billing, and a lot of polish

A lot has shipped across adoovi in the past few weeks. Here's a tour of the changes you'll actually notice, and a little of the reasoning behind them.

The marketplace grew up

Store pages now look like store pages. Every app has real artwork — an icon and a hero image generated to match what the app actually is, not a stock placeholder — plus an honest tagline and a fuller description. Apps also carry their own color identity now: a per-app palette that follows the app from its store page into its running interface, so the marketplace stopped feeling mono-chrome and started feeling like a collection of distinct products.

The launcher got smarter about whose apps it's showing. Personal and company apps are now clearly bucketed, so people who belong to a team see their own things and their organization's things as separate shelves, not one pile.

Team and ownership controls

App settings picked up the features owners kept asking for:

  • Invite members to an app by email, with per-app roles.
  • Transfer ownership when the person who built it isn't the person who

should own it.

  • Soft delete for retiring an app without destroying its history.
  • Private pricing and trials — publish an app to a limited audience, or

give people a trial window before payment starts.

Together with account-level roles, this closes the loop for teams: a company account, members with the right permissions, and apps that can be shared, priced, or kept private.

Billing you can reason about

Money should be the most boring, predictable part of the platform, so we did the unglamorous work:

  • Monthly invoicing — usage settles into a clear monthly invoice instead

of a mystery.

  • Pay ahead — see what you owe mid-cycle and clear it early with one

action, if that's how you like to run things.

  • Graceful low-balance behavior — a build that hits an empty wallet

pauses and waits for funds, rather than dying and wasting the work already paid for.

  • The cost dashboard now uses honest time windows (24h / 7 days / 30

days) that show exactly what they claim — no smoothing, no funny buckets.

The docs are here

The full documentation set is live — from "what is adoovi" through accounts, roles, wallets, the build workspace, publishing, and troubleshooting. It's written for people who've never seen the platform, and (in the most adoovi move available) the docs site is itself an app built through mr-bill.

And the polish

Dozens of smaller fixes that add up: workspace requirements now autosave to the cloud continuously, loading states across the platform got a consistent identity, embedded apps follow the portal's theme properly, session expiry is handled gracefully instead of surprising you, popovers and dialogs behave, and sign-in got a cleaner, calmer redesign — with security features like multi-factor authentication and sign-out-everywhere where you'd expect them.

What's next

The thread running through the next stretch of work: making apps more autonomous and more yours — better tools for watching what your app's workflows are doing, and the first steps toward authoring those workflows yourself.

If something here doesn't work the way this post says it should, that's a bug in the product or a bug in the post — either way we want to know.
